The 5-Minute Morning Setup

Before you even start your first edit or shoot, take five minutes to get your vape situation sorted. It's not about overthinking—it's about avoiding mid-day fumbles.

Do this:

• Pick one spot: a specific jacket pocket, a small pouch, or a dedicated compartment in your bag. Always the same place. No exceptions.
• Check the battery: most disposables have an LED that flashes when low. Give it one puff and watch the light.
• Test the draw: if airflow feels tight or the flavor tastes off, you'll know it's time to replace it soon.
• Clean the mouthpiece with a tissue if you've been carrying it loose—nobody wants pocket lint.

That's it. Five minutes, max. You're now ready for the day without thinking about your vape again until you actually want it.

The 20-Minute Weekly Reset

Once a week, spend a slightly longer block—20 minutes—to do a bit more. This is your maintenance session.

• Wipe down the device with a dry cloth, especially the mouthpiece.
• Check how much juice is left by tilting it or counting puffs if you're tracking.
• Confirm your stash: if you're down to your last disposable, order a replacement now, not on the day you run out.
• Rotate your carry spot: if you've been using the same pocket for a month, switch it up to avoid wear and tear on your clothes.

This weekly reset keeps your setup clean and your backups ready, so you're never caught off guard mid-week.

What You Skip on Purpose

Here's where we cut the fluff. You don't need to:

• Obsess over puff counts or flavor notes during work hours.
• Carry a backup device unless you're on a multi-day shoot.
• Check your vape after every meal or every scene.
• Feel guilty for stepping out for two minutes—it's fine.

Remember, a disposable vape is meant to be simple. Don't turn it into a project. If you're the type who likes to tinker, save that for your off-hours.

When Speed-Running Fails

Sometimes the fast path backfires. Watch for these signs:

• You're vaping more than you planned. If you notice you're hitting it every 15 minutes, set a timer or put it in your bag instead of your pocket.
• The battery dies mid-afternoon. That means your morning check missed something. Charge or swap it the night before instead.
• You're getting distracted by the flavor. If you're reaching for it during edits just because it tastes good, that's a cue to take a real break instead.

When the quick routine stops working, slow down and reassess—maybe you need a different carry method or a stricter break schedule.

Expand Only If Needed

You don't need a full gadget arsenal, but a few upgrades can help if you're a heavy user:

• A small case with a clip makes it easy to attach to your belt or bag strap.
• A lanyard or wrist strap can prevent drops during outdoor shoots.
• If you're using a larger device like VERTEX-VISTA, consider a holster if you're moving around a lot.

Only add these if they solve a real problem. Otherwise, stick with the basics.
