Despite what you've read on Facebook, UK and US-regulated vape juice contains exactly four ingredients: PG, VG, nicotine, and food-grade flavorings. That's it. No diacetyl. No antifreeze. No formaldehyde — unless you're burning the coil at 500°F, which you shouldn't be doing anyway.

PG (propylene glycol) is used in asthma inhalers, toothpaste, and IV medications. It's been studied for decades. It's safe to inhale at vaping temperatures.

VG (vegetable glycerin) is used in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. It's so safe it's literally in baby toothpaste.

Nicotine is addictive, but it's not carcinogenic. It's about as harmful as caffeine at the doses vapers consume. The carcinogens in cigarettes come from combustion, not nicotine.

Flavorings are the same food-grade compounds used in candy, beverages, and baked goods. They're safe to eat. The long-term effects of inhaling them are still being studied, but the current evidence suggests they're orders of magnitude safer than smoking.

The UK's Royal College of Physicians, Public Health England, and the NHS all agree: vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking. That's not a marketing claim. That's the official public health position.
