If you're like most people, your vape sat in a drawer or a bag all summer, and now you're wondering if it's still good. The boring truth: most disposables survive a few months of storage just fine, but you can't assume they're perfect. Start with the basics.
Check the body. Look for any cracks, bulges, or oily spots. A swollen battery is a red flag—if you see that, don't even try to charge it. Leaks can happen when the e-liquid expands in heat, so give the mouthpiece a quick wipe and inspect the bottom of the device.
If it's rechargeable, plug it in. Use the original cable and a low-current adapter (like the one for your phone). Let it charge fully before your first puff. If it doesn't charge after a few hours, the battery is likely dead for good.
Prime the coil. For the first few puffs, take slow, gentle draws and pause between them. This lets the e-liquid re-saturate the wick. Don't chain-vape right away—you'll risk a burnt taste that lingers.
That's it. Most devices just work after a little TLC. If yours doesn't, it's not worth fighting for.
