Your nicotine specification wording is probably illegal in at least one jurisdiction you ship to. That is not hyperbole. That is the state of the industry in 2026.

The problem is jurisdictional fragmentation. The US requires nicotine content expressed as a percentage by weight. The EU TPD requires mg/ml with a maximum of 20mg/ml. Several US states now require nicotine expressed as a percentage by weight. The UK requires bilingual labeling with both mg/ml and total nicotine content per unit. One product page that says "20mg nicotine" without specifying the unit is compliant in exactly zero jurisdictions.

The marketing language boundary is where most brands trip. "Smooth nicotine delivery" is a product description. "Satisfying nicotine hit" is a product description. "Nicotine satisfaction guaranteed" is an implied health claim that puts you in a regulator's crosshairs. The line is not always obvious. But the consequences of crossing it are.

International compliance is not about having one compliant label. It is about having a compliance framework that adapts to market requirements. Your US product page should reference FDA PMTA status. Your EU product page should reference EU-CEG submission IDs where applicable. Your UAE product page should reference ESMA certification. If your product page looks identical across all markets, you are not compliant in all markets. You are compliant in one market and hoping nobody checks the others.

The cheapest compliance investment you can make is hiring a regulatory reviewer to audit your product pages before they go live. The most expensive compliance mistake you can make is letting your marketing team write nicotine specifications without legal review.
