The biggest mistake I see in buying guides is the assumption that mesh coils are always superior. It's just not true. Mesh coils are popular because they heat more evenly, but that doesn't mean they're better for every device or every user. A mesh coil in a low-wattage disposable can be tuned for a tight draw and strong flavor, while a high-wattage mesh coil might produce huge clouds but drain the battery in half a day.
What you should actually check is how the coil is matched to the device's power output. If a disposable is rated at, say, 15W, and the coil is designed for that range, you'll get a consistent hit. If the coil is designed for 30W but the device only pushes 10W, you'll get weak vapor and possibly a burnt taste. So instead of asking 'mesh or ceramic?', ask 'is this coil tuned for the device's wattage?'
