If you're buying disposables or pod systems, the liquid test is only half the story. The hardware needs testing too.

Battery safety is the big one. Look for reports that show the battery has been tested for:

• Overcharge protection
• Short circuit protection
• Temperature limits

Also check for material safety. The metal in the coil can leach into the vapor. Look for reports on metal content in the e-liquid after vaping (not just before).

Some labs offer combined testing for the device and the liquid. That's ideal, but not always available. If you can't get a combined report, at least get separate reports for the liquid and the hardware.
