Picking airflow isn't about what looks cool or what a friend swears by. Most beginners make one of three mistakes, and they all come from the same root issue.
Mistake one: copying someone else's setting. Maybe your buddy runs tight airflow because they used to smoke cigarettes and like the throat hit. That doesn't mean it'll feel right for you. Your draw style is your own.
Mistake two: assuming open airflow is always smoother. Open airflow does add more air, which can cool the vapor. But if you take long, deep pulls, you might get more vapor than you expect, and that can feel overwhelming.
Mistake three: ignoring how you'll actually use the device. A quick hit during a work break needs something different than a relaxed session on the couch. If you don't think about context, you'll end up with a setting that fights your routine.
