Walk into any vape shop and the shelves are a wall of colorful bottles. Your first instinct might be to grab the one with the coolest name. Stop. Spend ten seconds looking at the label. That's where the real information lives.

Flip the bottle over. You're looking for two numbers: the VG/PG ratio. It's often printed right there, something like "70/30" or "50/50." If you can't find it, put the bottle down. A liquid that hides its ratio is either careless or trying to trick you, and neither is a good sign.

You're also looking for the nicotine strength in milligrams per milliliter. That's your mg/mL. If the label doesn't state both the ratio and the nic level clearly, it's not worth your time.
