Once the coil is flooded, every puff makes it worse. The excess liquid heats up, spits, and sometimes leaks out of the mouthpiece. Continuing to use it doesn’t burn off the excess—it just adds more heat and more mess.

Stop and troubleshoot. Set the device upright for a few minutes to let excess juice drain back into the tank. If that doesn’t help, take the pod or tank off (if possible) and blow gently through the mouthpiece into a tissue to push out excess liquid. If the device is disposable and shows no sign of improvement, replace it. A flooded disposable can’t be fixed by shaking it—that only spreads the problem.
