Before you reach for a device, run through this quick mental checklist:

• [ ] Is the mouthpiece clean and clear?
• [ ] Is the device upright?
• [ ] Are you taking slow, steady draws?
• [ ] Did you wait after filling before your first puff?
• [ ] Is there any liquid near the battery or charging port?

Answering 'no' to any of those? Fix it before you vape. If liquid has reached the battery, don’t try to dry it out with a charger—stop using the device and dispose of it properly.
